MONSTER MAGNET Sign European Deal With STEAMHAMMER RECORDS!

May 8, 2003

MONSTER MAGNET have inked a European record deal with Steamhammer/SPV Records.

MONSTER MAGNET in their present form were created in 1989, and have been rocking the globe with their rock, psychedelic, garage sounds ever since.

With their 1998 hit single "Space Lord" helping push the album "Powertrip" to gold status in various territories, the band continued their touring around the world, playing everywhere from Australia to Eastern Europe.

After the 2001 release of the album "God Says No", the band decided to leave their long-time label home, and search out a new partner. This search led them to Hannover, Germany, where they met up and signed to Steamhammer/SPV for Europe.

Lead singer Dave Wyndorf: "Since the very beginning, Europe has been the spiritual home of MONSTER MAGNET. We are very happy to be releasing our new material through Steamahmmer/SPV, as it is based in the heart of Europe. It gives us a chance to bring the rock to the European people who we've always, ALWAYS, considered to be some of the best audiences in the world."

SPV Managing Director Manfred Schütz added: "I am happy that the one-of-a-kind MONSTER MAGNET have decided to work with us. As a long time fan of the band, I am very excited to be able to tackle their next rock 'n' roll milestone."
